Education and experience
Roberto Artari was born in Lugano in 1962 and graduated as an STS engineer (Maraini prize) at the Scuola Tecnica Superiore di Trevano in Lugano in 1984.
After obtaining his diploma and completing his military service, he worked at Balmelli & Filippini in Lugano as a designer from 1986 to 1988.
Subsequently, he began a long collaboration as project leader at the engineering firm Passera & Pedretti in Grancia, in the period from 1990 to 2007.
In 2007, Roberto Artari founded the AR&PA Engineering studio in Pregassona together with Dr. Ing. Antonio Paronesso.
Some projects
Engineer Artari has led some important projects in the area. Among the main ones are:
- the UBS Suglio bank building in Manno;
- the extension of the northern quarter of the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne;
- the National Sports Centre in Tenero;
- the Church of San Massimiliano Kolbe in Pregassona;
- the LAC Theatre for the City of Lugano;
- the Central Park contemporary art space for the City of Lugano.
